As most of my friends and family know, I'm a constant little wanderer on SL. I love to see new things and I get fairly passionate about it. Approx. a month ago I came up with an idea to put the places I've been, that I found interesting, compelling or awe inspiring, onto a note card for others to use and enjoy. I guess I impressed a few people with that 'little' list of mine because it wasn't long after I had given it out to some friends, that I was receiving alot of wonderful LM's from people who generously shared their own lists and lm folders. A huge thank you to all the amazing people, who helped feed my wanderlust so fantastically.
While wandering, I also have to admit to a habit of taking pictures...landscapes, people, objects..the list goes on but, my favorite tends to be landscapes. I have Flicker and Koinup accounts to show off my love of travel and pictures, so I was pretty well set; as far as I was concerned. The other day, a friend who is a phenomenal photographer; suggested that I make that list into a photo blog, showing off the places I've been and the places I discovered or have had shared with me. I loved the idea the moment he said it and agreed to the idea quickly.
The twist to this blog is that it will show the view or perspective of not just one but, two different photographers. Graham Collinson, who came up with the original idea for the blog and myself. We both have different styles in photographing, which will give people different views of the same place.
My hopes for the blog personally is that it will be used by other photographers, bloggers, wanderers and travelers, to find places that they may have missed otherwise; to enjoy and to be used as a helpful tool.
